Fantasm 2004

Every year there is a convention in Atlanta, GA, called Fantasm. I had first become aware of it, last November when idav5d posted a message to his Y!Group about an erotic hypnosis show that he would be doing at their SpanksGiving event (also held in Georgia around the time of the American Thanksgiving holiday in November). While I wasn't available to attend that event (just weeks later, I would be in Europe, doing the European Erotic Hypnosis Community Building trip), it did make me aware of the main conference. As luck would have it, that conference was a week prior to a computer hacker convention that I was scheduled to attend in the same city. So, I decided to make arrangements to have a booth at Fantasm as well.

Now, to put things in perspective, I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. I had known that there was some erotic hypnosis stage show action scheduled for this convention, and I had read a few stories and seen a few pictures from years prior, so I already knew it was going to be cool. However, even though I run HypnoFocus, HypnoGames, and HypnosisFetish, I was going low key, merely as the vendor of the HaXXXor DVD, a video that I created where naked chicks teach you how to hack computers. For a computer hacking, international, erotic hypnotist pornographer, I like to keep it down to earth and easy going.

So I drove from Phoenix to Atlanta, with my girlfriend, and my newly hired Administrative Assistant. On the way there, we picked up an order of T-Shirts from some anarchists in the middle of the night in Wichita, outside of a billiards hall. Like I said before, I like to keep things low key, because excitement seems to have a way of finding me in the most unexpected places.

When we got to the convention, we quickly discovered that our original information about the convention was slightly inaccurate. It was my impression that we were going to a sci-fi convention for adults, nobody under the age of 18, and that there would be light bondage at night. The reality of the situation was that we were at a three day, adults only, erotic BDSM party that took over two entire hotels. The place was sexually charged, lots of nudity, and as far as sci-fi goes, I think someone had a copy of Star Wars on DVD somewhere. It was a pleasant realization, I was sincerely impressed.

The DVD was well received, and we got a chance to get the word out, and meet a lot of interesting people. I won't go in to a whole lot of detail on that here, as you're probably waiting for me to get back to the Erotic Hypnosis talk.

One gentleman walked by our booth, glanced in my direction, and kept walking. He then stopped, turned around and started a conversation with me along the lines of, you look familiar, but I'm not quite placing it. As luck would have it, I was distracted by the logo on his shirt (that's a funny story in it's self that I won't go in to here), which is funny because if I would have looked just three inches to the right of his logo, I would have seen the words \"The Hypnotist\" written on his conference Badge. After a short discussion, we realized who each other was. This is how I met idav5d.

We had a pleasant conversation, and then it was time for him to prepare for his show. When it was about to begin, I left my crew in charge of the booth, and went off to where the stage hypnosis show would be. Upon arrival, idav5d introduced me to a few of the other local members of the erotic hypnosis community that were present, and then introduced all of us to the crowd. I was particularly impressed by that touch, clearly here was a guy who was confident in his skills and talents, not only in the spotlight, but also as a part of the community.

The show, it's self was entertaining. There were some very attractive ladies on the stage. I'm not incredibly in to guys, but each one had a degree of responsiveness that was also interesting in an analytical sense. The induction was quick, down to earth, and wasn't cheesy at all. The different hypnotic phenomenon exhibited on the stage were amusing, and the skill behind it was apparent. My personal favorite part of the show was when a few of the ladies on stage were given a dildo, and told that what they did to it, some of the men on the stage would feel. The ladies then started touching and licking it in a way that was quite pleasant to watch.

I won't go in to too much detail on the stage show at this time. My pictures turned out really dark. I really like my Minolta DiMage Xti camera, it's handy and portable, but really can't hack low lighting photographs at a distance. A video was made, and other people took pictures of it, so when those materials become available, I'll keep you all in the loop.

One event of note happened towards the end of the show. One of the guys in the audience was completely zoned out. He was sent back to his seat as part of a \"fake ending,\" and before he could make it back, a lady friend of his scooped him up and lead him out assuming that the show was over (unless she had more sinister plans, heh heh). I noticed this, and quickly stepped out of the room, caught up with them, quietly explained to her what was going on, and got him back in the auditorium in time to be given an end of trance suggestion with all the other participants.

Later that night, idav5d, my assistant, and a local member of the Erotic Hypnosis community met up and visited some of the parties that were going on that night. I was assured that these initial parties, while cozy and fun, were amateur compared to the parties that would take place the next night. That was, in fact, true.

The next day, we all hung out some more. I met a few of idav5d's subjects, many of the ladies proudly displayed their \"orgasm button,\" a properly keyed post hypnotic suggestion that would let a select group of people trigger a powerful orgasm response.

Later that night, we met up with three ladies, one with her husband, the other with her husband's permission, and the third was single. We did a session with all three (no more than two at a time, however, because of the limited environmental resources that we had at our disposal. It was a pretty intense session, and you can see it on HypnosisFetish and HypnoGames.

The last day of the convention was pretty much good byes, and taking things down and apart. After Saturday night's parties, I completely understand why. However, we had a lot of discussion about possibilities and opportunities for next year's Fantasm. Who knows what might develop. One thing is certain though, if it's in your power to attend, I would definitely recommend it.
