I'd like to share with you one of the daily blessings in my life.
A necessary part of living a life that spans three continents is that sometimes you need to move money from place to place. In this circumstance there's a web hosting bill that is several months past due that I need to settle up, and for the first time this year, I've had the extra money to do it.
PayPal, while profitable for me in the past, isn't an option. When e-bay bought PayPal a few years ago, PayPal immediately stopped processing transactions for anything adult related. They froze my account with half a grand in in. I got my money from them eventually, and for a few years after refused to use them. Eventually, I decided that their convenience for e-bay and other things outweighed my disgust of their company, and decided to try to open a new account with them. However, it's been very difficult to get it up and running, due to the fact that they've closed a previous account with me, and because I'm in their system as a business person in the adult industry.
So, for the most part, when I need to send or to receive money over long distances, I've gone through Western Union. Even though their charges are outrageous (anywhere from 35 to 70 dollars to send money) and they will give you an inaccurate exchange rate (usually several cents on the dollar different from the standard rate that you'll get from any bank), for the most part they are the only game in town.
This brings us to today. Happy that I was finally going to be able to resolve an issue that has been bothering me for some time now, I logged on to their website. After a lengthy process, I was ready to finally send my money. And for the low, low rate of 927 Dollars, I would be able to send 615 Euros across the planet. ( The Universal Currency Converter at XE.com - http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi - says that I should be able to buy 695 Euros for 927 dollars).
An awful deal. However, sometimes you just got to swallow it.
At the last screen after all my confirmations, where it should have said, everything is done, instead told me that I would now have to call them.
So, I made a telephone call to them, from Asia, and who knows how much a minute.
After asking me a million questions, verifying information that I had never given them, the woman on the phone told me that due to business policies, they would not put my transaction through. I asked her what policy prevented this, and she refused to tell me.
I told her that this was ridiculous, and that I wanted to speak with her boss. She put me on hold and then told me that her boss gave her another way to put it through. She then asked me for the last four digits of my Social Security number and a few other bits of information, and told me that the transaction was going through, and in two minutes my receiver would be able to pick it up. I had her read back the name of my receiver to me, to make sure they didn't mess it up.
Annoyed at the hassle, annoyed at the representative, and annoyed at the outrages charges for the privilege of being annoyed and wasting my time, I none the less drafted the e-mail to the person who I owe money to, with instructions on how to pick up the money, and further details related to the transfer.
Then about half an hour later, I decided to go to the western union website to check the progress of my transaction. I put in the information, and it brought nothing up. I logged in to my account and it showed me no transactions.
So I call them back up, and get some guy on the phone telling me that my transaction was cancelled to to business policies. I told him to check my account and talk to the other representative and figure out what was going on, because there was a charge in my bank account to Western Union, and this other person either didn't do the transfer properly or she flat out lied to me, and neither were acceptable.
The guy I was talking to didn't seem to hear me, and started reading things verbatim from his script, so I told him that he wasn't providing me with what I needed and that I wanted to talk to his boss.
I got someone claiming to be his boss on the phone and told him everything that happened, and asked him what he was going to do about it. He told me that there was nothing he could do about it. So I asked him if my transfer was going through or if the person I spoke to had lied to me. He told me that this person probably lied to me. I told him this was beyond unacceptable, and asked him what was he going to do about it. He asked me if I had the employees name or id number, and I told him no. Then I asked him if they had any record of who has been doing what with my account. He told me that they didn't. I asked him if they recorded these calls, and he said that they did, so I told him to play back the tape where the first representative was telling me that the transfer was complete and that my receiver would be able to pick up the funds within two minutes. He told me that he couldn't do this.
I told him that they were expecting people to trust them with their money, and that this was unacceptable. He shrugged it off, and I could tell that I was ready to start screaming at him, which clearly would gain me nothing, so I hung up on him.
Now I'm going to post this e-mail to a few places where a few thousand people who value my opinion will read it, and never use Western Union again (or ever). I will never use them again and I will tell anyone who brings them up about this experience.
I wanted to update all of you on the VISA situation for HypnoSlave.com.
I still can't accept it.
Here is the reason why. It involves a little bit of back story in how things work in the adult industry.
Credit card transactions for anything in the adult industry are classified as "high risk." A few years ago VISA instituded new regulations for approving adult websites, and monitoring their incidences of fraud and chargeback. Any website that didn't pass the muster would lose it's ability to continue accepting VISA. To pay for all this they created what I call the "VISA Ass-Rape Fee." $750 dollars the first year and 375 every year after that. In exchange for this VISA tax, you get nothing. It's basically extortion. You either pay it or you don't get to accept VISA. I've been paying it for years.
On top of that, very few banks will handle adult processing, citing it's high risk, which is strange because isn't the whole point of this fee to have a paper trail that shows that you are on the up and up? These things never benefit the webmaster. So, then you have to go through a merchant processer, and hope that they don't screw you over. I use CCBill, they haven't screwed me over in the last couple of years that I've been with them. I've been with other processors in the past. I drop them immediately if they screw me over.
So, the process to get a website up and on the net and accepting credit cards is something along these lines:
Create the website -> Submit the website to processor approval -> Processor submits the website to VISA approal.
This procedure used to only take a few days. Now I'm being told that it takes 21 days. CCBill approved HypnoSlave for processing on October 28, and now on November 21 VISA is still not being accepted.
So, I've sent CCBill another e-mail, and am prepared to be offered a response of little substance, basically telling me to wait and see. At this point either someone at VISA has dropped the ball (and there is no way to hold them accountable) or someone at CCBill has not only dropped the ball, but has also screwed the pooch (and once again there is no way to hold them accountable). So I will patiently continue to make my inquiries because there is nothing else that I can do.
This isn't particularly good for me, because I've invested a whole lot of time, money, energy and material in to this project, and every day that I can't acept VISA it's costing me in sales and lost revenue and aggrivation of people who want to sign up.
So anyways some of you have been curious, and here's the 4-11.

I've got a few bits of news. I've been on the road for the past two weeks, so it's been pretty hectic. It was necessary for me to head back to Canada so that I could pick up the last of the older HypnoGames.com source tapes, so that I could complete the conversion of all my past sets to Standard Definition.
Speaking of the conversion to Standard Definition, a HypnosisFetish.com member e-mailed me to tell me that a few of the Violet sets were still in the old format. I've confirmed this, and I'm sorry for the mix up. When you juggle a few hundred gigabytes of data, sometimes mistakes get made. I will update this the moment I get back to Phoenix. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
Also, this last weekend there was a service outage for most of my domains, with only HypnoSlave.com and HypnoGames.com being unaffected. This was due to an issue at one of my server co-location facilities. I'm not expecting this issue to happen again. However, in the coming months, I'm going to add another server at another facility to serve as a backup in case of an outage. Unfortunately, this will cost 1,000 dollars at the low end + 600 dollars a year, or 3,000 dollars at the high end + 600 dollars a year to do. I would do it on the cheap as a stop gap if it happened again, or I'll implement it when I upgrade my server to a serious piece of equipment that I've been lusting over, probably Q1 or Q2 2007.
Speaking of HypnoSlave.com, I've posted the listing of all the clips in one of the opening sets, Brittany and Nails HypnoSlave Twosome. You can expect to see the listings of a few more of the opening sets to be posted very shortly (maybe even today). We're getting much closer to the launching of the site.

With the opening of Hypnoslave imminent (exclamation marks cannot communicate my happiness), I wanted to reopen the subject of suggested content and invite others to comment.
For me, one of the most important elements of good D/S hypnosis is that obdience is imposed upon the subject unwillingly or unwittingly. (Obviously, I don't literally mean this because hypnosis is necessarily deep-down consensual, but part of effective D/S hypnosis is creating the illusion of nonconsensuality, so this is how I'm going to write.)
If this isn't established, then I don't care how many times the subject says "yes master"--it won't do much for me. It'll look like the subject came in for a shoot, the hypnotist said "just do what I say while we're filming," she said "OK, as long as I get paid," and then the tape started rolling. Seeing a girl go through the motions of a hypnoslave isn't sexy.
That's why, IMO, it's so important to set up what the subject doesn't desire/believe/expect about what will/can happen to her. I think the "Carla" set is easily the best example on hypnosisfetish.com/hypnogames.com: Through her interview and the induction, she clearly conveys her skepticism and resistance, but is slowly broken down and loses all control. Another great example is the "Tawny" video produced by hypnovideo.com. At the beginning is an interview (I think these are always necessary), during which she explains that she is afraid of "losing control" and being compelled to act like an animal, and she resists the induction a bit. But once she's under for a while, she readily agrees to do what she said she was afraid of.

Unfortunately I cannot accept PayPal at this time. I would like to, believe me, but it's an unfortunate story.
After over two years of having a very profitable relationship with PayPal, doing several thousands of dollars worth of transactions a month, and enjoying the benefits of the PayPal debit card, PayPal decided to change their attitude towards "mature audiences." Simply put, they decided to tell their customers what they can and can't spend their money on.
Now, I disagree with this in principal. Its PayPal's place to facilitate economic transactions, not to tell people what to do with their transactions. This is especially unfortunate, since con artists frequently can use PayPal to rip people off, but heaven forbid someone buy a dildo or a picture of a naked woman.
However, PayPal made this policy perfectly clear to me when they terminated my account last September, and froze my funds for several months.

No, I did not take it down. After an exciting and succesful weekend with 5,500 views over 4 days, they took it down and sent me a message that said it violated the user agreement. However, I checked the user agreement, and there was nothing in it that the video could have violated. So I sent them an e-mail asking why they took it down. They never bothered replying.
I guess YouTube is too busy hosting bits and pieces of other people's copyrighted works to give me the time of day, even though they give tons of free bandwidth away to people trying to compete with me.
Needless to say, they are no longer on my list of people that I feel warm fuzzies for.

It's been several months of effort, and I can't tell you how happy I am that it's complete. Also, now that all the clips are standardized, and I've been able to bring it all under a consistent system on the backend, I can now get back to work at programming the website again to do auto updates, to prevent the delays that manually updating the website can cause.
It's been a long road, but the best is yet to come!
(Similar upgrades to HypnoGames.com are about 2/3rds complete, and should be done in about a month or so.)
Roughly half of the website has been converted to Standard Definition, in both QuickTime and Windows Media Player formats.
Now that I've been able to share the load over two machines, I should have the conversion to Standard Defintion on HypnosisFetish.com finished within a few days (essentially the length of time it will take to upload the files).
I've been working on this project for several months now, and it has been a huge part of my life this summer. I can't tell you how excited I am to see it start to come together...

With my other sites, HypnoGames and HypnosisFetish, this is my story, as I learned about the world that I was finally embracing publicly with HypnoGames, and the optimistic exploration of what could be possible with HypnosisFetish. HypnoSlave, in my mind is more about empire building, and a big part of that are the slaves themselves, and the special type of community building that I'll be doing for this project.

I was planning on generating more buzz within the community this year for Dragon*Con, however, I was pretty worn out from the road trip that I did for 1,000 Orgasms, and then the End of the Winter Spell Stage Hypnosis Tour of Northern Ontario, and then a summer underneath the hood of my car in the Phoenix heat, and then chaining and shackling myself to my desk to do the video upgrade to standard definition and the various server upgrades and ehancements, and then peddling HaXXXor at Hope Number Six in New York, and then a loose ends tying up visit to Canada, etc...
Ultimately, I didn't know if I was going or not, and with a nearly 2,000 dollar price tag to drive out there and rent a room for the weekend, I did throw in the towel. However, a friend running a party room offered me crash space for 60 bucks for the weekend, and I found a 300 dollar plane ticket to Atlanta, and that made it possible. In retrospect, I am questioning the wisdom of choosing to stay in a party room where the primary ingredient of the unending supply of alcohol is Everclear.
Having said all that, it would be cool to meet up with as many of the visitors to my websites as would be possible at next year's Dragon*Con or any other convention. I'll be looking to do more panels this coming year, and organize more shows, both based of my experiences doing such things over the past two years, and we shall see what comes of it.

Yes, you are correct.
The new webserver was delivered to the hosting colocation facility while I was at Dragon*Con, and should be installed in to the rack today. That means that HypnoGames.com should be moving IP addresses sometime on Tuesday or Wednesday (as long as I configured the network properly before I shipped it out... here's hoping for a "yes-work" and not a "nyet-work"). So if anyone hardcoded the DNS entry in to you hosts file when Joker had the DDOS earlier this year, be aware of that.
Once I've got the new server running, that will clear up space to upload the content for HypnoSlave.com. Over the years, I've filmed material that was always intended for this project, little by little, including a session from back in Montreal filmed in a full BDSM dungeon. (That session features Sarah, the one from Playing Doctor With Sarah). Additionally, we have a partial BDSM dungeon set in Phoenix, and have a session with Stephanie that contains a bit of BDSM content. On top of that I have Brittany and Nails scheduled to do a straight BDSM hypno session later this week. (Naturally a shoot isn't a done deal until after it's over).
I'll also be pulling bits and pieces of BDSM related material from the other websites over, most likely all the hypnospanking and anything where they are calling me master.
The website will also feature a member's only message board. Shortly after it's launch, I will probably be doing some sort of community building, establishing contact with various BDSM communities for that message board.
There are a few other bits and pieces, but that's the long and the short of it. A lot of people have been chomping at the bit, and I've heard you all. I just wanted to make sure I had my existing projects in a good place, and a decent amount of material for the new project before launching it.

I agree. I spent some time learning how to do the RSS stuff a while back, and probably still have a little bit of code around here somewhere. I'll make that my next programming project. Whiel I'm at it, I'll probably program some sort of e-mail new post functionality as well.

Thank you... It's been a whole lot of work, but anyone who has only seen one of my sets available in Windows Media 175kbit is going to see the difference when they see the set again in Standard Definition.

While HypnosisFetish and HypnoGames remain my top focus and priority, HypnosisFetish is in the final stages of the conversion and the upgrade. Once HypnoGames.com is switched over to the new web server (with luck it's being shipped out to the colocation facility today), then I'll be able to clear space on the old webserver, and finish the conversion. I'm also sitting on a backlog of material and have may more shoots scheduled and budgeted, so HypnosisFetish.com is in really good shape.
The good news about the process that I'm doing on HypnoGames.com that mirrors the process that I did with HypnosisFetish.com is that I'm almost done converting and archiving everythng that I still have source edits of. The bad news is that I only have source edits for about half the material, as I was originally using very different technology back in the day, and it wasn't possible to keep uncompressed source material. Since I'm going to have to be doing a lot of re-editing from the original tapes, it's going to be a much longer and drawn out process, and not something that is efficient in a work flow manner to sit down and devote my full attention to the task and crank out in the way that I could do with the HypnosisFetish.com conversion.
So, back to the question at hand. No, I don't see any continued delays on HypnoSlave. I believe that I'm sitting on enough material right now to launch it, and I believe that I'll have enough time and opportunity to develop it. Once the new webservers are in place, I'll also have the space for it as well.

Today marked the end of one of my projects that I've been working on all sumer.
Every video file on HypnosisFetish.com has been accounted for, archived in it's original source in a big strong long term storage box, and re-rendered in to standard definition resolution. It's taken a large part of the summer to do this, necessitating two heavy storage binders, over 250 blank DVDs and dedicated CPU time measured in weeks.
Unfortunately, it will still be a little while until this material gets uploaded to the web server, as the server full almost to capacity, and will remain that way until I get the new webserver installed.
This is the reason why I spent half of today putting the final configurations in to the new webserver. It will be shipped out to the server colocation facility tomorrow and should be up by the end of the week. Then I can finish the conversion of all the files on HypnosisFetish.com.
While I'm very happy about this, at the same time, I'm not finished, as I'll have to continue doing more of the same for several more weeks yet for HypnoGames.com... ah... my work never seems to end...

8.24.06: I'm pleased to announce that the conversion to Standard Definition for all video clips on HypnosisFetish.com is nearly complete. I can't tell you how excited I am to announce this. I've literally spent most of the summer working on this project, and can measure the computer time spent to render these clips in weeks. Although only half are available at this time due the the disk space issue that I'm still having on the server, I expect to get most, if not all of them online when I install my second webserver and move HypnoGames to it's own machine. The server is already purchased, and about 90 percent installed. I just have to finish the last 10 percent, and then ship it off to the colocation facility. This should probably take a week or two. After I finish rendering 3 more sets the project will be complete!
8.24.06: Now that we are current, with the addition of the Brittany and Nails set, you can expect more great erotic hypnosis all throughout the fall and winter months. Hey, I was wondering if you had any advice for those of us that have the attention spans of a caffinated/sugered up five year old. I've been busy more than usual lately and accomplishing absolutely nothing. Are there methods to help with focus?

I've upgraded the Allison 1 set to standard definition. In this set we meet for the first time one of the most hypnotized girls of HypnoGames.com.
Additionally, I've added the previously unseen, Alicia 2 set to HypnosisFetish.com. This is a classic set with the goth girl from Goth and Punk. It's migrating to HypnoGames.com soon, but since it's unaired, it's being shown on HypnosisFetish.com first.
This is one of the defining videos of my early work. To this day, when someone asks me to tell them about something memorable, I usually think of Kathy taking a bite out of my jacket as a billy goat, or saying some funny things as the "orgasm parrot."
Until now, these videos were only available as the blurry small resolution QuickTime and Windows Media 175kbps. Those days are over, as now you can see her in Standard Definition (720x480 resolution) in both QuickTime and Windows Media formats.
I've limited the maximum number of concurent downloads from the members area of HypnosisFetish.com and HypnoGames.com to 4 (not inlcuding img files). This shouldn't affect the average user, and should only affect those using site ripping programs. A lot of the server strain was coming from people who just ripped the entire site as fast as they could, without thought to the affect it would have on the server or the other members. Frequently people would pull down several clips at a time in both formats.
Not only did it slow things down, but it also tied up all the processes, so that other programs on the server started choking and dieing as well.
Update on the upgrade to Standard Definition Video Clips / General Update:
The upgrade is going well, and I'm pleased to announce that over half the website (HypnosisFetish.com) has been converted (20 out of 38 sets). However, there have been a number of issues associated with the upgrade.
First, there are currently no restrictions on how many downloads a member can make at a time. It's always been my policy not to hinder your enjoyment of HypnosisFetish.com. However, for those of you who are making copies of the entire site, please voluntarily limit your concurrent downloads to just 2 at a time, and also please decide on either quicktime or windows media format. There's no reason why anyone should be pulling down 12 clips simeltaneously in both formats. This places an excessive burdon on the server, and slows it down for everyone and causes all sorts of weird errors.
Second, the file sizes of the standard definition format files are about ten times as large as the older lower resolution files. As such, what was once more than ample disk space is now insufficient. This has resulted in upload delays of new sets, and delays in finishing the conversion. At this time there's about 7 more sets that are already upgraded that haven't been uploaded yet due to space constraints.
I have plans to provide relief to both of these issues in the form of a second server in my co-location rack. This will allow me to put HypnoGames and HypnosisFetish on separate machines again, increasing total disk space available and lessening the server loads per machine. However it's going to be another 30 to 45 days before I can do this, so please bear with me in the meantime. I am currently exploring other temporary options, but it's going to take time for me to evaluate and/or implement them.
Also, there have been an increase of password hacking attempts, including but not limited to, a full dictionary brute force attack. This consumed considerable resources on the already taxed servers. I'm persuing solutions to provide a better defense from people who think it's okay to waste resources looking for a needle in a haystack with little chance of success.
I have a lot of new footage filmed, and will be doing an update as soon as possible. However, that material is on the other side of the continent, and I'm 2-14 days away from being with it again. I'm going to try to find some more previously unaired material to update the website with in the meantime, please be patient, I'm currently juggling a lot of things at the moment.
Finally, there have been some strange issues with the program that I use to add new members from CCbill signups. This may result in delays as some accounts will now have to be created by hand until this problem is resolved.
For all of the year 2006 I had an e-mail backlog that ranged from 300 to 500 pieces of mail that all required thought and/or action on my part. As of this morning it was something on the order of about 300 to 400. Today I bit the bullet and sat down and dealt with everything that needed to be dealt with, and extracted and archived anything that was ancient history. In the course of doing this, I authored 53 e-mails.
I know, it's pretty blase stuff. However, e-mail is more than just a convenience for me, it's one of the primary channels that I work through. Althought with all the spam and garbage, it's significantly less useful than it was just a few years ago. On an average day I get about 250 e-mails, 30 or so automated, 10 to 20 useful, and the rest is spam and virii.
What this means is that a lot of you have received replies to e-mails that you've sent to me. If you're waiting on me and have not received a reply, that means that I didn't get your message, or it got lost somehow.
Also, the Lisa set should be online in it's entirety to HypnosisFetish.com within 48 hours.
Looks like part of the reason why my server load was so heavy was because some asshole was trying to brute force hack his way in to the system, something that yielded no success, but effectively DOSed my machine. Fortunately for me, unfortunately for him, he was stupid enough to do it from a single IP address, which indicates it was probably someone doing it from their DSL line.
Some of you may have noticed a decrease in performance on some of my websites lately, slow loading, weird errors, etc.
After much hairpulling and troubleshooting, it appears that there was a maximum processes per limit set by default by the vendor of the operating system that my server runs on.
In a harrowing moment of truth, I issued a sysctl command and altered the state of the kernal. The improvement was noticible and immediate.
Sorry for the performance issues, they should be resolved. Mostly it has to do with the larger file sizes of the Standard Definition format files...
(Please people, if you're going to do a mass download, at least pick whether you want windows media or quicktime, no need to murder my webserver *g*)
In your gothic heather 2 video, you kept mentioning about second foundation. Are we talking about Isaac Asimov's second foundation with the mission to take down the mule cause he can control people's minds and emotions? And also, has anyone gotten it in the past yet?

Here is another update on the world of HypnosisFetish.com... The new set, Nails is up and partially aired. I meant to have it up sooner, but I've been juggling disk space issues on the server, and ultimately had to take down a couple of older sets to keep the new sets going up, and to also upgrade some of the more popular sets to Standard Definition. Speaking of which, Gothic Heather 2 is now in Standard Definition.
At this time ther are three sets after Nails in post production. One features a familiar face, one features two of the recent girls in a twosome, and one is a new model. I'm still in a heavy production period, with more shoots taking place, and with a little luck a threesome or a foursome coming up. I haven't done the full math, but it looks like we're good for daily updates through September as things stand right now, and the conversion of of HypnosisFetish.com to fully Standard Definition is coming along smoothly (If only disk space weren't an issue! Hopefully I'll have that issue solved in a month or so.)
Also, I'm putting the final touches on The Best of HypnosisFetish Volume 1 DVD. More details on that will be coming shortly. I want to try and get this done as a professionally replicated DVD, however funds are extremely tight right now, so what will probably end up happeneing is that I will post the chapter list of the DVD, as well as the features list, and start taking orders. If I reach a certain amount of orders by a certain date, then the orders will be fulfilled as Replicated DVDs. Otherwsie I'll probably include a voucher for a free upgrade (you pay s+H) to the replicated DVDs when they come out, and the video will be shipped as a burned DVD. In the first week back in production, I did five sessions for my website with 4 different girls (one session was a twosome). I generated about 6 hours worth fo video and caught up my website and created a backlog of daily updates that should take it through to the beginning of August.
This week was a slow week because I had to pay off some bills that I had been neglecting. It was urgent, to say the least. However, I'm still looking at a shoot or two this week.

Hi. I'm wondering if anyone here has XM radio and have noticed the slew of commercials that have a hypnotist that I will leave unnamed in here pushing things that are just plain impossible.
No I listen to Sirius. I wasn't aware that there was a hypnotist advertising on XM.
I've heard them before but the latest has me nervous. I'm on the road about 5-6 hours a day. Now she is pushing the idea that she can hypnotize truckers to feel perfectly refreshed with only five minutes of sleep. Okay I get a out kick out of hypnotist that say they can get you to stop smoking & drinking, diet, train people for ultra orgasms (laughable), and etc. but seriously there's a line to be drawn. If you want to believe it, fine. If you can actually have any of that actually affect you, even better. But when you promote something that puts me and anyone else that has the joy of being stuck in gridelock with folks operating 10+ ton battering rams you've definitly stepped over a line that should have people pushing you back over.
Interesting... I wonder if there have been any scientific studdies to evaluate the effects of suggestion / or the hypnotic process as it relates to sleep deprivation and driving a motor vehichle and driver's fatigue.
It is my understanding that much of what we do when we drive a vehcile (after we've learned to drive) is subconscious.
You don't have to watch Penn & Teller's Bullshit! to know there are limitations to hypnosis, and more or less most of the stuff that's gets attention as possible is pure bunk. I really hope I'm not the only one that can see that. I mean if you REALLY WANT TO stop smoking and you need a nudge, hey it can work. But if you're a 4 pack a day-er with no selfcontrol at all, you can be sure a guy with big eye brows and a gold watch (hey bad generalization but I'm on a rant here) isn't going to do more than a warning label that says "YOU WILL DIE IF YOU SMOKE THIS" can do. So telling the guy hauling several 18 wheelers, "it's fine to overlook fatigue cause with the snap of my fingers you'll feel just fine," REALLY doesn't sit well with me.
If hypnosis doesn't affect one's ability, but only one's judgement of their ability, then it would be akin to driving intoxicated off of alcohol. This should be studdied, because if this hypnotic technique is being used in such a way as to decrease highway safety, then some federal regulating body might step in to regulate hypnosis, which would be bad.
I know this is a bit off topic but I can't think of anything that should be thought over by a forum for hypnosis than this. Seeing I've been run off the road repeatedly by truckers, to say the least this is my pet-peeve. Anyway, I'd hate my obit to read "This man died because a trucker that's been on the road for 20 hours hauling a shipment of Gamecube network adapters & Chia pets was actually too tired (even though his hypnotist said he should be fine) to pay attention to the road.

Aaron sorry to hear about the difficulties with the 1k project. With any luck it can be just considered as "on hiatus." We all have had something that has to wait till times were better. You seem to be upbeat about it from what you wrote, so I'm going to hope this is something you have already moved beyond smoothly.
I'm not going to consider it on hiatus, just because that leaves it sort of in a "primed" state in my mind. The project is definitely cancelled. However, I do plan on re-evaluating it's feasability in a year or two. I suspect my definition and your definition are just two sides of the same coin.
I decided to wait for a while before making my final evalutation and posting it to make sure that it was what I wanted to do. It was a project that was way too stressful, and demanding of time and economic resources that could be much better applied to my other projects.
It was very emotional for me while I was at that half way point between should I throw in the towel, or shoulding I. I expected it to be much easier than, say, asking people to volunteer for HypnosisFetish.com, however I found the opposite to be true, which is something that I plan on understanding further in my explorations. However, I've come to terms with my feelings on the project, and have moved on. I have lots of ideas, but that doesn't mean that they are all things I want to go "all in" on.
Hi. I'm wondering if anyone here has XM radio and have noticed the slew of commercials that have a hypnotist that I will leave unnamed in here pushing things that are just plain impossible. I've heard them before but the latest has me nervous. I'm on the road about 5-6 hours a day. Now she is pushing the idea that she can hypnotize truckers to feel perfectly refreshed with only five minutes of sleep. Okay I get a out kick out of hypnotist that say they can get you to stop smoking & drinking, diet, train people for ultra orgasms (laughable), and etc. but seriously there's a line to be drawn. If you want to believe it, fine. If you can actually have any of that actually affect you, even better. But when you promote something that puts me and anyone else that has the joy of being stuck in gridelock with folks operating 10+ ton battering rams you've definitly stepped over a line that should have people pushing you back over.
You don't have to watch Penn & Teller's Bullshit! to know there are limitations to hypnosis, and more or less most of the stuff that's gets attention as possible is pure bunk. I really hope I'm not the only one that can see that. I mean if you REALLY WANT TO stop smoking and you need a nudge, hey it can work. But if you're a 4 pack a day-er with no selfcontrol at all, you can be sure a guy with big eye brows and a gold watch (hey bad generalization but I'm on a rant here) isn't going to do more than a warning label that says "YOU WILL DIE IF YOU SMOKE THIS" can do. So telling the guy hauling several 18 wheelers, "it's fine to overlook fatigue cause with the snap of my fingers you'll feel just fine," REALLY doesn't sit well with me.
I know this is a bit off topic but I can't think of anything that should be thought over by a forum for hypnosis than this. Seeing I've been run off the road repeatedly by truckers, to say the least this is my pet-peeve. Anyway, I'd hate my obit to read "This man died because a trucker that's been on the road for 20 hours hauling a shipment of Gamecube network adapters & Chia pets was actually too tired (even though his hypnotist said he should be fine) to pay attention to the road.

Aaron sorry to hear about the difficulties with the 1k project. With any luck it can be just considered as "on hiatus." We all have had something that has to wait till times were better. You seem to be upbeat about it from what you wrote, so I'm going to hope this is something you have already moved beyond smoothly.
The resolution of my Thousand Orgasms project...
After two months, I've decided to discontinue the Thosand Orgasms project. I wasn't happy with the progress that I was making, and various logistical issues proved to be difficult to overcome. Ultimately, the amount of effort that went in to pursuing volunteers actually exceeded the amount of effort that goes in to pursuing volunteers for my other projects, and as such, I've decided that my time would be much better spent in that way.
Section 1. iWeb
iWeb was an exciting new addition to iLife, a software suite produced by Apple Computers. I saw the video of Steve Jobs demonstrating it when it was announced, and was all sorts of excited. I went out and bought a copy as soon as I got together the money.
The software was everything that I expected. It allowed me to create a sharp looking website in almost no time flat. I was very impressed with it.
However, it was way too top heavy. The software performed alright on my iMac G5, but didn't perform very well on my Titanium Powerbook G4. Also, iWeb doesn't use any intelligence when it renders new files, which means it goes through and renders everything all over again. Now if that were bad enough, it also forces you to re-render all other websites as well, and if the websites have a different base URL (which they should being different websites and all) then it will introduce errors in to the other websites as they will have the wrong url at this point).
Fortunately I had written an rsync script, so I only had to transfer what had changed to the webserver.
Regardless, this made the software way too clunky and time consuming. Sure, it's nice to have integrated blogging features with pretty graphics, but what good is it if you have to devote half an hour to every update? As such It was much better to continue using LiveJournal for my day to day blogging.
The conclusion is that it's a good tool for designing quick small flashy websites, or to encourage new people to make their own web presence. However, it's too top heavy and not designed for a serious workload. It has potential in the form of using it to make a web page design, then modifying the HTML by hand to construct a template. Also, I think it's important to say that I think it's a cool program, and and am confident that Apple with improve it over time, addressing much of these issues in later releases.
Section 2. Travel
This project was notable in the sense that it expanded my range, as a solo driver, to everything north of Mexico on North America. My current range is North America and Western Europe by Air, however by car it was only the south west United States. While it is true that I've crossed the country by land on multiple occasions, I've never done it alone. Now I have, so I feel confident about my ability to do so, and what distances I can reasonably travel on my own. I've also driven in some major metropolitan areas, including Montreal, which up to this point seemed formidable. This will most likely lead to me considering driving in other countries, and also considering larger vehicles.
The trip also served as an excellent opportunity for me to get some maintenance and parts replacement done on my vehicle. A couple of mechanical failures were found and corrected, as well as operational failures by the driver. I learned a lot about my vehicle, and have much more confidence in it.
Section 3. Economics
I was never in a situation where I desperately needed something and couldn't have it. Shelter was always possible. I didn't starve to death. I was able to acquire a few pieces of new equipment here and there. That's not to say that I didn't coast in to town on fumes a few times, or camp out in my car a couple of times.
Ultimately, however, I didn't have a sufficient bankroll to accomplish the goals for the project. Everything was always stretched to the maximum, and this created a lot of stress for me that aggravated the existing difficulties of the project.
Section 4. Damage Control
For numerous reasons that are beyond the scope of this document, it was necessary for me to be outside of Phoenix for a time. This project gave me the opportunity to do so, and a purpose while doing so.
Section 5. Ethics
I believe that the project is ethical, as well as what I do is ethical. However, a number of people don't feel comfortable on camera, although they feel comfortable with the experience. I don't think it's ethical to pressure anyone to be on camera, just because I have a project that I want to complete. I incorrectly evaluated my current infrastructure as being robust enough to support the project, under the assumption that the limiting factor to widespread participation was the nudity aspect of the project. That may be a significantly limiting factor, but I no longer believe it is the only one. I also believe that the erotic aspects are a limiting factor. I still believe it's feasible, however certain assumptions will need to be re-evaluated.
Conclusion.
The project was a good idea, and a valuable learning experience. However, my traditional models are a much better vehicle for me to attain my goals at this time. I should re-evaluate the feasibility of this project again in a year or two.
My promoter who handles the Canadian bookings for my stage show has sent me what appears to be the final version of my tour through Northern Ontario, Canada.
